Somehow, because I must live in some alternate universe, my oldest child turned 10 yesterday.
So this post shall be all about June. June asked for a dragon themed party, so I bought a dragon topper for her cake and a dragon banner. That's about as theme-y as I get! She had a couple of friends over for cake and ice cream and playtime. She went to another birthday party that day, and that friend's party was much better. I'm secretly hoping that June will feel like that birthday party (where they went to an ice cream factory extravaganza adventureland) was also for her because her parents are not providing that kind of party.
She asked to decorate her own cake, and here it is:
I always make my cakes from a mix, but doctored up. Just add a pudding mix and a cup of sour cream, and you will have the best chocolate cake of your life.
June received presents from her grandparents. From Grandma Sandy, June received her own set of scriptures with her name on the front and a unicorn purse.
Of course, we had to make the traditional candy bar poster.
June-
Happy Birthday! Mr. Dragon hopes you have a fiery day! Take a fast break from all of your chores and get a big cup of syrup on top of your french toast and celebrate! You are now 5 + 5! Isn't that outrageous? Just a few years ago, your head was a mini egg, and now it's a big ol' genius noggin! We love you!
